Like all writers, I'm a big fan of procrastination. It's a necessary evil. Sometimes my brain isn't working well enough to figure out how to "make words work" and so I end up on Instagram or Twitter or (as shown below) Pinterest. Not only is making aesthetic boards a great way to avoid writing, they also help me learn more about my main characters so that I can turn them into real people that readers will hopefully care about and not just names typed over and over again on a page. So... is looking at Pinterest really procrastinating if it helps with story development? I'm gonna say that's a big fat "NO."
